Orientation‌: Horizontal installation requires full pipe; vertical installation is preferred (to avoid gas accumulation).

Straight Pipe Run‌: Upstream ≥10× pipe diameter, downstream ≥5× pipe diameter, away from pumps or elbows.

Vibration Protection‌: Keep away from vibration sources; use shock-absorbing brackets if necessary.

Vortex Flowmeter Installation

Straight Pipe Run‌: Upstream 10-50× pipe diameter (depending on disturbance type), downstream ≥5× pipe diameter.

Orientation‌: Horizontal/vertical upward for liquids; vertical upward preferred for gases/steam.

Vibration Protection‌: Avoid high-vibration environments; use independent pipe supports.

Common Precautions

Piping Cleanliness‌: Flush pipes before installation to prevent sensor damage.
